This projector was created by an independent filmmaker who wanted to make a low cost, all in one solution for theater exhibition and it looks like he's done it. For 3,000 bucks the 1920x1080 rez projector outputs 11,000 lumens (your average home theater projector puts out around 1500-2000), enough to light up a giant screen, and includes a a blu-ray player built into the chassis, a 1.6ghz atom processor and up to 2tb of onboard storage. For small, roving film festivals this seems like the ideal solution. I'm curious what the picture quality looks like, as he isn't using the standard projector technologies (DLP, LCD or LCOS) but is using a full sized LCD screen with a powerful light shining through it, which has been an old DIY method for making a projector.
