The Bridge To Terabithia

Just got back from the theater. If this movie doesn't make you wanna cry, something is severely wrong with you. I consider my heartstrings tugged, and then some. It's not at all like what it is marketed as, which would be a Lion, Witch, Wardrobe knockoff. I cannot recommend this movie highly enough. Absolutely superb.

I have no desire to see the movie, nor read the book.

I have a friend who has read the book and said it was better than all the Harry Potter stuff and is a great read. This person saw the film and hated it because it got "bastardized" by Disney.

is it like the book i read the book in the fifth grade it was sad at the ending but i wonder igf it more mythical or based on the book.

Spidey, I will admit I haven't read the book, but the movie, as it is, is a great movie. If it has anything to do with the book I don't know, I just know I'm going to read it now, probably will be disappointed. But the movie, as a movie, holds together really well. It's very resonating. I won't ruin it for anyone else by giving away the story, but it's quite good.

I saw this as well. It was a rather surprising movie. And that's mainly because of how they marketed it. I guess they marketed it well, because they got me in there, but I just wasn't prepared for what I saw. I have mixed feelings. I agree that it was a really good movie but at the same time there was this part of me that kept waiting for the movie they marketed to show up, and when it never did, I was slightly disappointed. Then again, if I would've known what the movie was about, it wouldn't have suprised me. And surprise me it did. I would recommend this film. Don't do any research on it. And go into it looking for more of a drama. And less of a fantasy.

Read the book as a kid, and remember blubbing uncontrollably.

Haven't seen the film, but thought there was a film there several years ago.

Have since reread the book, and it hasn't dated well. Don't think it has enough depth to work for adult readers as well as for kids. But if the film has addressed that, then great. Will probably check it out on rental sometime.
