the best this summer

I hate to say that I'm going to go with a Disney movie, but I am really, really excited about Pirates of the Carribean Dead Man's Chest.

It's that whole thing about Pirates... The first movie was just so epic that this one is automatically cool as well.

Also, I can't wait for Michael Mann's Miami Vice.
Looks awesome. Is it shot entirely in HD?

But as the absolute best? I don't know.

Contenders

A Scanner Darkly (July 7)
Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest (July 7)
Lady in the Water (July 21)
Miami Vice (July 28)
Science of Sleep (August 4)
World Trade Center (August 9)

I'm also excited for the comedies, Clerks II, Talladega Nights, Accepted.

hehehe.. I was about to say, ClerksII

I'd say miami vice will get some good pub.

I know many people don't like M. Night's movies, but I'd definitely have to say i'm looking forward to seeing Lady in the Water. friggin' creepy specially if you love hanging out by a pool.
