While not as dominating as that ARRI box you have, this one has a very good price. Only one question, can it hold the follow focus from Cavision? Are the rods sufficient?

You need the 4 by 4 for the current Follow Focus by Cavison although there is another Follow Focus being developed (tested?) I think.

actually the 3x3 would work, but you just need different rods. The 3x3 doesnt actually need rods, so you can pretty much do whatever you normally would without it.

Hey, does the Chroz 411-53PK setup still require the anamorphic adaptor be modified?

Yes, it does. You can send it in and they'll do it for about 200 bucks or so. Basiclly they just shave off the shade...

I don't step out the door for less than $1995 for a wedding.  But to be honest, I am very very sick of doing them and about to stop (I think). :)

But on the subject of Matteboxes, I just put an inquiry in to CaVision about what would be necessary to spec out one of their boxes to fit both my DVX100A and my DVC200 with Canon 19x lens. I assume the 4x4 with standard 15mm rods and step-ring(s) of some sort. It would be nice to have a system that I could move back and forth between different cameras.

That's true.  As soon as you cross over the border, you have to dump the car and go strictly organic.

For the record, I have never owned a pair of cowboy (boots, shirt or hat).  I do not live on a ranch and I'll be damned if I haven't ridden a horse.  What kinda Texan am I anyway?  Whenever I travel, I have been told I sound like Hank Hill though.  DAMN!  I gotta work on that! LOL.

I once drove through Texas. Im talking the long way that goes south into El Paso. That might be the longest drive of my life. Nothing but desert and desert and flat ass desert. Took me a total of 2 days and an evening to get through there. And it was hot. Africa Hot. Next time, I take the northern route.

I agree. Man, I try and stay in the North Eastern or Central parts if at all possible. You're right, anything west of the Dallas/Ft.Worth area quickly becomes flat and miserable. I have relatives in the San Diego area and I still have never made it to CA. I am going to make it a point to take an extended vacation through much of California someday soon.
