The Best Compositing Software!!

Hi everyone ...

I am totally new to compositing, and motion graphics software, and I decided to learn one. I am sure that every applicaion has it advantages, and disadvantges, but based on real-world experince, which one is the easiest for new users like me?

I downloaded the demo versions of AE CS4, and Combustion 2008, and so far, the GUI of Combustion 2008 "seems" simpler and easier .. but I did not produce anything with both jus yet, so I can not be 100% sure if Combustion is easier. :huh:

I do not want to waste my time learning both in order to decide which one better, so I will appreciat any feedback or help regarding this matter.:)

At last, is thier other compositing software or system that I should consider?
 
The only software that I have used for compositing is AE CS3. There are many free tutorials online that can get you familiar with it.

I had never used AE before, but after a little coaching I found it very powerful and relatively easy to use.
 
8 years ago I was with a production company that purchased Combustion for $8000Aud. Combustion comes from the same peolpe that make 3D Max, Flame, Inferno, Smoke and Flint, all very high end apps. Since then they have tried to make combustion compete with AE in everyway including price. I did like Combustion but Ive always used After Effects and for me I have found that the amount of plugins and tutorials available makes it a far better motion graphics tool.
