Hello all, I'm new to this forum so please have patience with me. I just purchased a Panasonic DVX-100 for an independent film. I need to know what's the best picture quality I can get to the "Film Look" as possible.

What shutter speed? Do I need to shoot 24pa?

Please help I start shooting in a week.

Thanks for all your help

Re: The best 24pa shutter speed

You've got more balls than I my friend, I'm shooting a 10 minute short and I'm spending more than a week just doing test shots.

Everything you've asked has been covered here quite a bit, do some searches and all will be revealed.

Choose your shutter depending on what type of look you want/how much light you have.

A higher shutter will produce less motion blur, the higher you go the clearer image you shall get.

but..

the higher the shutter, the "jittery" looking your footage can become. By jittery I mean, the less motion blur you have the more stilted the motion will seem.

I usually shoot with the shutter at 1/48...sometimes 1/24 for steady shots.
