That Face

Last night I was telling my wife something I read on DVXUser.com and she made "that face". I think you have to be married to know what I'm talking about, but basically it is the face that says "I am sick of hearing about DVXUser.com".

Just curious, has anyone else seen that face?

I see that face quite often, but not about DVXUser. My girlfriend is actually fascinated by this site (as am I).

In the recent days following the Zombiefest, which got me involved on DVXuser, I have started several conversations with my wife that begin with the phrase ,"Today on DVXuser"...

At first, I had her attention 100%. Then 90. Then 80.

Now I get the face.

So...

Instead of telling her everyday....

I give her a weekly summary. :laugh:

I got a kick in the a$$ instead of the face. I kind of liked it. :evil:

My wife is more of an internet junkie than I am, so I get to hear about her boards every day when I get home. I used to keep DVXUser stuff to myself, but in retaliation I started telling her about it too. Now every day we have at least a 20 minute conversation about all of the things that happen in our respective communities.

I think we need therapy.... :undecided
 
Its more like a cocaine habit with me, I have to sneak to this website, cuz if I'm caught...
I just need my DVXuser.com "Hit" for the day.
 
I get the look from my girlfriend as well.

I got it last night, in fact. She went to grab something from the kitchen, and I snuck on, just to see what was up in the Cafe... then she walks in the room and I get *the look*.
 
Lately I've been getting "that face" from my DVX100. You see, I've been neglecting her a lot and we haven't had any quality time for a few months. Now, everytime I visit DVXuser, she gets angry and says, "You ain't a filmmaker! Why haven't they banned you?!?!" I even once heard her mumble, "Maybe I'll find a filmmaker who knows how to treat a camera right! ...I bet Barry Green knows what buttons to push. ...And he looks like The Edge."
 
What dont girls like this site?

Normal friday night for me "Do you want to come home to my place and check my cam?"
 
My wife loves it too, she cant wait to get home to see the Barry Green 10000 video today, since I downloaded it at about 3am while she was sleeping. She's in agreeance with me about it being sad that The Mystique of BG has been ruined though...but she cant pass up something that I descirbe as pure genius and beyond hilarious.

She's also a HUGE P.K. fan. Like, majorly. She says it's the humanitarian thing, but I think it's because she's seen him naked in his movies a coupla times.
 
My girlfriend refuses to listen to anything that sounds slightly technical. When I mention DVXuser.com, she shrugs, and then I say "the camera website I always go to for help," and then she shrugs again. :(

There is hope though, I'm giving her DVX training lessons on the weekends.

Sorry, she's an only child. She's actually my production partner, too. She does most of the writing and she'll act if needed. I'm a lucky guy.:)
