It's hard to believe, but a year has just sped by since sending out the first beta Brevis35 units.

A lot has changed since then, and we've got some great products coming down the pipe including our excellent follow focus system (just starting full production), remote ff, new carbon fibre rails, guerilla cinema dolly, jib, and the long awaited Brevis flip module. Lead times for orders have dropped from months, to as low as 19 hours (no joke) between a confirmed order and adapter-in-hand. The global target for order fullfilment will average 72 hours.

Our success has a lot to do with the supportive crowd here at dvxuser. The importance of the original beta group and our early customers who waited patiently for their adapters needs to be recognized. To that end, I'll be looking forward to thanking a lot of you personally in the year to come as we reach out to the shooting community. Your creativity, enthusiasm and kind support will continue to fuel the Cinevate engine :-)

Congrats. Although I have never actually had a discussion with you Dennis, I have followed the Brevis over it's development, d/ling every scrap of footage that came along.

This summer I will finally become one of your customers.

Congrats.

Indeed! [check your PM box]

Dennis, thanks for the thanks. I will be buying a second unit shortly to outfit a pair of HVXs for an upcoming feature.

Congrats, Dennis! I also look forward to growing with Cinevate.

And thanks to you Dennis for all your hard work and your never slowing R&D department. I admire all you guys who have jumped in the deep end starting a business and making great products.

My brevis is still one of my most treasured possessions.

Good luck with the next year!

Thanks guys. One of the great side benefits to this gig is getting the chance to interact with a great group of people out there ... and then be inspired by your work :-)

Actually the "guerilla" dolly will come first as it is designed to function optionally as the jib base. It can of course be used with a tripod but we figured it made sense to start with the foundation first. The dolly is in production right now.

I'm personally very excited about getting the project under way as the jib and dolly make just about any conceivable shot, an achievable one. Our remote follow focus will come into play shortly after to allow remote focus control when using a 35mm lens adapter with the rig.
