My favorite lines:

-But wouldn't they blow up in an all oxygen environment?

_That's an easy fix. One line of dialogue. "Thank god they invented the ____".
 
Well I wasn't looking for this in the Cafe... shouldn't this be in the film discussion area?

Anyway, I just got back from seeing Thank You For Smoking. Very good film. Aaron Eckhart was great in the lead. Maria Bello was good, I haven't decided on Koechner yet... it's hard to take him seriously (even though this is a comedy). The movie was really well shot. The writing was great. I agree with you Joe, those lines were some of the greatest. Also loved the bit on Big Tobacco not wanting to lose cancer boy cause they would lose a customer. It was edited very well as well.

Overall good film. Number 3 on my best of 2006 so far.
 
really looking forward to this - the directors shorts are very good and beauifully directed - also probably the best trailer currently on apple/trailers.com IMHO.

I saw this at TIFF. The audience really seemed to take to it. But I'll tell ya, I didn't much care for it. There was some funny stuff in there for sure but as a whole it wasn't for me.

I am kind of alone on this one. It seems that everyone I talk to loves it.

I just saw it tonight, and it was awesome...The movie reminded me of the concept of "Lord of War" but more comical. It was a great movie until the end when it became a stroke of genius.
