Thank god!

I thought the same thing, then I saw its production budget...10 million! At least they were smart to keep it cheap. Robin Hood has made 150 million worldwide but is considered a dud because its budget was 250 million plus.

Macgruber appeared to be slap-stick humor delivered in a dry-humor package. The trailers struck me as "odd"... not funny or interesting.

It was a thing that made me go "hmm"... seemed like True Lies meets Zoolander, minus the story, entertainment, and actors.

Robin Hood? How many times can we be wowed by Crow's sinister gaze of revenge? Or inspired by a passionately yelling motivational speech? Those trailers looked like Gladiator with bows and arrows.

I may have seen it before, and I may see it again, but unless it's really GOOD... not for $10 a pop :)

I never expect a film based on SNL skits to work. They almost never do. MacGruber was the closest thing to possibly being able to do it because of what's it's parodying but nope.

I think the only one that was any good was The Blues Brothers. And it wasn't really a skit. Still waiting for SNL to break that 30yr losing record.

EDIT: Just thought of Wayne's World. First one was good. OK, waiting for them to break that 18yr losing record.
