Text with 3D Invigorator: Transparent Background

I just got the 3D Invig plug in (for AE 6.5 Pro). The solid background (with 3D text) is transparent in the AE timeline, but when I render it and bring into Vegas NLE, the black solid background I used in AE is no longer transparent. How do I get the solid to be transparent and only the text to show when imported into my NLE? Thanks.
 
well you should export tga files with alpha channel. on use any of the formats but with alpha. ie: avi uncompressed with alpha channel. RGB+Alpha
 
Thanks! You were right. I was rendering avi uncompressed but RGB only. I thought I double checked this before rendering, but must have had temporary brain failure!!!
