Text Question

Hi, I'm using Vegas 6.0 and am doing a news report sketch. I want the reporters' name to fade in as the reporter is talking. I've tried to use the genrator, but a square surrounding the text covers the reporters' body. How do I just get the text to show up and not a square or block?

You use the transparent text version of the text generator. There is one with Vegas 7/8/9, not sure about v6 though.

Also, in the clip properties (where you edit the text) , you can set the background to transparent.
