Text Overlay

Stupid Question I know, but how do you overlay text on video? I can't seem to be able to find the option to just type right on the video or on a track w/ a transparent background.

All you need to do is open a second video track by right clicking the current track with your images on it and then Insert Video Track. On the new track, right click and Insert Text Media. The default already has a transparent background so you should see SAMPLE TEXT over your images. Then you just need to edit your text for it to state your message.

orrr..to make it a second faster....use Ctrl+Shift+Q to insert a video track.....and Ctrl+Q for audio track
