text on image?

Hey guys, I suck at graphic work. If your bored and feel like helping someone out that would be swell.

Here's two images. One without text, the other with text. I'd like the "photography by alveraz ricardez" to go along that solid line, but have a little more artistic quality to it, have it feel like it's part of that equipment you know? Maybe even have a nice vintage vignette around the entire image too?

I don't know, but if someone can help me make this work that would be great. I'm building a little photo site for my friends and family to check out.

To me, the first image's text didn't stand out at all. It looks almost like its part of the camera, being anchored to that logo.

this is something different than what you may have asked for, but it might stir some more ideas. Nothing special really, just a quick messaround in photoshop.

That's pretty cool man, thanks! It's a little more commercial than I'm looking for , but its a heck of a lot better than the image I came up with. The name spelling is a little off too, but who's counting? :)
 
I think I would have aligned the text with the black line on the (what's that, a Norman 200B power pack?) box. Truly, thinking outside the box. ;-)

The vignetting, in my opinion, wasn't working very well. Also, by making the text look like it's part of the camera, it really hides you name.

I could throw a drop shadow to enhance your name, but then it wouldn't look like it was part of the cam.
