Text effect question

[andyman957]

I'm having trouble trying to find out how to make text in after effects look 3d, like kind of bulky looking in 3d space.

[Thomas J. O'Hara]

there is a tutorial on how to do it, but it's very intense if i remember correctly. the easiest way is to use a 3-D program.

Well, there are four options.

1. Zaxwerks 3D for AE

2. GOOD EASY WAY : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yimdi6QOSAc, or, TUTORIAL: http://library.creativecow.net/articles/woodall_traylor/3dtypetut2.php (ignore the 3d text look on the banner, this is not what it looks like).

3. Use a 3D application

4. Use Cool3D (I don't like it, but might get the job done)
