Text coming towards you

Hey guys,

Wondering how it is you do the 'star wars' effect. What I mean by this is; how do you make text come towards the screen and then stop (the opposite way that the star wars title travels at the beginning of each film)? I am working on a film related logo and I want part of the text to come (while fading) towards the screen and then stop (slowly). Any help would be MUCH appreciated! Thanks!

I've never done it in Premiere, but do you have After Effects?

The best way would be to create your text layer, make it 3d, and add a camera. Position the camera at the correct angle to the text, and you'll have exactly what you are looking for.

This tutorial from is not for AE, it is for Premiere 6.5 but i think it can be done exact the same way in Premiere Pro: Star Wars "like" rolling title

Thanks for that link, but what I was referring to is the actual title that says 'Star Wars'
