Como's back. back again
i got a steadicam (a DIY) and im gunna post some footage later on it, and how u can help improve the "steadinesS"

but on the forum note: when i color correct, (using 3 way, and a contrast filter) i get that shots looking nice, nice curshed blacks, saturated

the shots look nice, i got a shot of outside, where the grss is very nice and green, and the whole picture looks nice. Except for my mother. Her face and arms, and even the house were a bit red, a lot red actually. Should i mask this, and take the effect out?

if i lower the effects, to get perfect skin color, and house color, i lose the green grass, and the whole picture

Hmm- in that case I'd look into upgrading. The FCP color corrector is ok with secondary color correction but nothing great. that's what you need to fix this sort of shot.

well if i add a 4 point matte in fcp, and i masked out a face (pretty simple, id do it quickyl) and i deleted the filter from that masked out footage, it woud like all crappy, the color wise, which meens i wud feather it, would i feather that masked out footage in the crop menu? Feather edges?

Sure- the part about secondaries. No shortcuts for this kinda thing unless you want to pony up and hire somebody to do it for ya.

Did you read the part Noah pointed out? In case you missed it read it again and you'll answer your own question.

Color in FCS2 - has saved me hours upon hours for secondary cc. Worth every cent. 8 levels of seocndaries, easy matte creation (chroma matte, standard matte shapes and your own) motion tracking (single point only - but does a good job)
