Testing noise floor

Is there some easy and amateur (without Lab tech equipment), way to measure the noise floor of a given Mic?

How quiet is your house/apartment/office?

You could pile all the bedding (and dirty clothes) in the house on your bed and bury your mic inside the pile. That would possibly eliminate 95%+ of all the acoustic noise, leaving the self- (electronic) noise.

Fortunately, my apartment is a very very quiet one. I think I'm going to make the experience you suggest to just see how my mics compare.
