Test in the Wood

Hi,
i and Renato Gagliano went to a wood and made a test with the Canon XHA1 and Letus Extreme, indiSlider and indiFocus, Nikon 24 - 50 - 85 mm.
I added some CC and sharpness and the resulting quality is almost photographic.

Clip 720p H264: WOODS (raw edit)

What you see are screenshots taken from the video.
We framed the full GG so you can see bluried edges on 24mm lenses. Then i realized that i had to zoom in more.

oh, this time it loaded. Very nice shots. Love the colors and saturation of the last one. Very Epic. Looks like you need to zoom in a little more on #2 and #5

I'm loving these shots especially the first one. They looks like stills and I always love when video looks like actual stills. Some video uploaded to vimeo or something would be awesome.

I hate to complain, but it is so hard to open a thread with big pictures.

and since I am already complaining. It is always a good idea to post a streaming video to see if it is worth downloading.

Sorry, I didn't get too mush sleep yesterday.

Hey some nice movement there. Wasn't perfectly executed on those complex shots but I have the slider and i know those shots are difficult, panning and tilting and trying to steadily slide it all along at the same time. Still looked cool though. A1 + adapter combo is pretty sick. Images are sharp.

Mind tellin' us how you like the slider. Which one do you have, 24 or 36? Are you using it on a tripod? If so, what tripod. Where you traveling the full length of the slide?

Thanks for sharing, sir.

I have the 24' indiSlider, on a $150 Stanford tripod.... I almost traveled the full lenght.

which 24mm nikkor do you have? AI, AIS, AF, 2.0, 2.8?
and which photo is from it?

how's the vignetting and edge sharpness wide open on the lex?

thanks

24mm is used on photos 1 2 3 4.
I noticed only later that i had to zoom in more into the Lex GG
I'm preparing a chart with the exact proportion between the full size GG and the 35mm frame.
With the camera i will have to point the chart so that the outer line (full size gg) corresponds to the gg frame.
Then i will just need to zoom in in order to fit the inner line (35mm frame).

Only then i will be able to check the imager quality.

I think jenningsp meant to ask you which exact lenses you used. AI, AIS, AF.
I am also interested in that. I use the letus economy on my hvx with canon fd lenses. I get more of a vintage film look then you do, but yours is much sharper and clearer. I wonder what's the big secret.
This is some of my my letus footage
