Now, certainly you know I have no will power when it comes to resisting Super8 cameras. I mean, even if you never actually shoot any film through them, they're just little mechanical works of art.

Wow, if the price doesn't go too crazy, that looks like a good one. Remember a year ago when the actual Beaulieu that shot the Nike "Revolution" commercial was up for grabs? I'll bet you do. In fact, that's probably fueling your interest a little, huh? :)
 
I once had a whole box of Super 8 and 8mm film cameras! Some old couple was throwing so I asked them for it! I think there was a total of 9 cameras. There was even a few rolls of film too but I think they expired! My best 8 camera was my cannon with sync sound. We shot like 8 rolls but never had any money to get them developed!

Do I still have them?

No, I threw them all away! Don't ask me why, I was on PMS that day!
 
$1,000, screw that Barry, unless you need it for something definite.

I like the Braun Nizos personally.. sooo smoooooooth and well made.
 
Doesn't get any nicer than a 9008, but, but.... Oh, all right. You've sold enough of those DVX books by now, haven't ya? Go for it, Barry!!
 
Unless prices have dropped through the floor, there's no chance it'll sell at $1000. It'll probably go for at least two or three times that much.

But for a grand, I'd get it...
 
Barry---if you keep buying stuff off e-bay, you're gonna have to start putting them in the "Thank you" credits on your projects! :grin:
 
Do you have any idea how much stuff I've gotten on that portal in just the last year? It's staggering... gotta remember ebay works the other way too -- SELLING! I gotta sell some of this stuff off... :)

That is a sweet camera. If I wasn't saving for an HVX (and brakes for my car) I'd be there bidding. You said that that was the HVX of the Super-8 world. I disagree, that is the Genesis of the Super-8 world. Even though, my favorite camera was the Canon 1014 XLS, I would love to have this camera.

Does anyone know if the '18 stock, Vision 2, 500 E.I., tungsten is available as a Super 8 negative? I used to shoot alot of Tri-X 400 (we'd push it one stop for an effective 800 ASA) in Super 8 and would love to see the '18 stock. I love Super 8.
