This clip wasn't really shot on the DVX, but I thought the membership here might be interested in it.

This is a Quicktime movie, of 21MB.

It was created using Terragen, and took 28 hours to render 556 frames at 720x480 resolution on a Pentium 2.8ghz system with hyperthreading enabled. Alas, Terragen is not a multithreading program! All the frames were BMP files, which I loaded into Vegas, and collated into this movie.

I found Terragen when I was looking for a realistic cloud generator plugin, because I have some footage that I'd like to add a time-lapse effect to, so I was just going to generate some moving clouds and composite them in. But Terragen was easy enough to pick up that I ended up with this clip. Given enough render time, and the right settings, this program can create images at HD resolution which would be difficult to distinguish from real cinematography.

Kinda cool, eh? ;D

WOW Speedbump I've learned 2 things about you recently you're 43 and you're good at terragen! ;D

Really smooth. If you stop the animation on its last frame, its really nice! Good job!
