Teradek Servpro Wireless Network

Not sure if anyone here has experience with this, but Teradek sells a wireless router that's supposed to pair with the Serv Pro to extend the range. It's $699, I'm curious if general off-the-shelf routers could work similarly (aside from the battery power option) -- especially given some of the good deals on routers that are going on this weekend.
