Tempted to hire these guys

Bad actor portraying cop: "This isn't good."
Truer words never spoken.

I'm trying to figure out what that 40 foot motorhome is used for on the set. Carbon Monoxide poisoning?

In this corner, we have The Green Screen Film...

My bet would be THE TIME MACHINE (I FOUND AT A YARDSALE). The color balance inconsistencies and the orange juice scene are gonna be hard to beat.

Yeah, but imagine the orange juice scene you could do with the green screen!!!

Say what you will, but I'm guessing Tim is getting rich off this stuff.

For those wondering if this was a trust fund operation or something- I'm guessing Tim may make money from this operation, but probably not as much as he made before.

Dear Mr. Tim:

This is so very bad. Very, very bad in too many ways to list. My opinion. That is all. Carry on...

I don't get it... I mean... I only read half of the first page, but ... what is so funny? They are selling a legit product... video production. And the studios look kind of expensive. So what if the products are fake? 3D animators do that all the time... but the point is ... they can deliver a sleek animation / design

Did you watch the Dorner movie trailer? Sure there product is sleek... but there is a fine line between sleek and cheese it seems.

The guy is clearly a liar. Did you listen to the main video on the site? He makes gigantic lies almost every 20 seconds. The camera work is absolute s*%t, it's misleading, false advertising, and they can only do ONE type of advertisement, quite the opposite of unlimited. I work on commercials every week and this operation makes us all look bad, creates false expectations and underdelivers on almost every level.

Hahaha, every character in the Dorner movie lives in a daytime talkshow set. And actually, their silent AC sounds appealing for a workout video production.

The production pitch sounds like when high school students pad their essays to reach the minimum work count, listing every single studio on Alameda Ave, then prefacing each item on their entire gear list with "Cinema Quality High Definition Blah Blah Blah". 1200 words is hard work!

I think this business will, and probably the many more that will pop up, will knock the **** out of a certain category of 'business/corporate' presentations. It's the sort of thing that would appeal to my boss in my day job... He's gotten 'talented' services in the past that just serve up pretty 'cheezy' stock photos with schlock effects... Since my day job has nothing to do with 'media'... I just nod my head and retch at some time later...

As for it's uses in 'narrative' filmmaking... it aint there yet... although these days with ever increasing use of more sophisticated cgi at 'lower levels' of production, I could see someone eventually making an almost watchable film... I actually did like "Iron Sky"(2012)... I just would have rather had a bit more sex cheeze than what was there... and before that... "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"(2004) (My how time flies...). In that case, probably it would have been better to have some less high profile actors/actresses, and more new comers to the biz...

I'm rather confused. To my British eye, this looks like so many of the newsy style shows we see on UK TV made in the states. Sure, it garish, colourful and the camera moves all have a bit of a jerk, but I really think it's a pretty good advert. To my ears, the presenter seems very typical of the slightly over the top presentation style we get to see. I guess the BBC probably looks very dull and boring to people stateside. I don't understand what is really making everyone get so hot under their collars? The same guy in every clip looks a bit of a giveaway, but to show off what he can do, what's the problem? I've seen the guys from Newtec at the British video events, and they have the same style - maybe a bit cheesy for us, but, so what - they're Americans, we understand. I've had some virtual studios since the Serious Magic days, and the LA studios ones are more realistic than mine. The Tricaster virtual sets with their reflections and other polishing tricks do look better - but apart from perhaps from sales exaggeration, which is just marketing hype really, it's fine?

Near me, we have a huge, multi-million pound HD studio, sold off after a recent re-equip for peanuts, and is now run by a team of students and a few full time people, who try to make money - and from what I hear, getting proper paying broadcast work in is impossible - so they do band nights and internet streaming. Their advertising is more cringeworthy than the one being talked about.

I shall be the only one to say I like their website, and I just don't see why we're picking it to pieces. Have they done something terrible? If the content is all mock-ups, so what? It shows what they can do, and if it's cheap, I can't see a problem - sorry guys!

I used to work for a guy who insisted on doing everything in front of a green screen. It's the laziest form of production and I will never do that again. It's obvious, distracting and cheap looking. I like to do cool things with lighting (or what I think are cool things) and green screen pretty much takes that away from me.
