Temporary file shuttle solution?

I found this Kanguru USB drive out and about... seems like it might be a workable solution for maintaining dual backups on shorter shoots, or for handing over footage to clients. Would it work in host mode, directly plugged into camera? If the price came down a little, it might be a nice tool to have around.

Certainly very cool, but it would seem to be useless for what you describe. It isn't USB On-The-Go, so you can't copy files from the camera to it directly without a PC. And if you need a PC, you might as well use a tape drive -- tapes are much, much cheaper than $800...

Hmm, yeah. Still might be pretty nice to have around, though, when the price comes down about 50%. Could fit a whole commercial project on one of those and just hand it off.
