Telescoping light wight travel jibs

We use the Trapezist from Light Craft, you check out our review here:

It's pretty good and it's ridiculous how light it is, it doesn't weight much more than our camera, for DSLR work and for getting some interesting shots without too much setting up it's great.

What are you going to fly with the jib? The jib above will probably handle a DSLR but not much more. I traveled with a modified Glideshot Jib that they cut down to fit my bag. It was slightly less than one meter and was robust enough to handle an HMC150 with moderate accessories. I used a portable shower for camping as a counter weight since water was easy to find and weights were not . You also have to consider what your sticks can support. I would also suggest that some sliders can make some impressive crane up and down moves and require much less adjustment and weight.

Im happy to put dslrs on the jib. I have a bigger jib for other work and this will really only be used for travel stuff so the GH2 is fine. Ill be taking my 100mm arrow 25 Miller Solo sticks with me. I cant imagine this stuff would be too much for them.
Thanks for the review eiker_ir, was good to see it in use. That Jib looks like a good option and its cheep :)

I ordered the Trapezist jib. Looks good and a great price. I bought a 70 L pack the other day so looking forward to putting it to good use. Pity its got such a long wait time for delivery but oh well, still excited:)

I had the opportunity to buy one this weekend but didn't. I already have a good jib but this one was okay. A bit limiting when you can't pan the camera.

You could easily put a light weight head on the end of the jib and keep it a bit shorter surely.
I already have a Libec Jib which is great for most things but needed something I could put in a backpack. I think the Trapezist is the best option I have seen, hence I ordered one.

Yes it was pretty good and worked fine to do a tilt at the same time as going up or down. It didn't sway or bounce either but could be a bit lacking in smoothness due to the light weight.
