Telescopic camera cranes?

Hey all,

Does anyone know any camera cranes that have telescopic arms aside from a technocrane?

I suppose I could put a standard jib on a dolly and truck in and out. But I think the entire operation would be more effective in one unit. But I can't come up with any other options aside from renting a technocrane, which - quite frankly - I can't afford.

Anyone have ideas here?

You are pretty much stuck with a crane on a dolly. There are a few other telescopic cranes, but the engineering and control systems involved with telescoping cranes and maintaining good balance is expensive and complicated.

Also they usually come in one part, don't break down like Jimmy jibs, so you need a truck to move it.

Jib on a dolly is the best way to go really...
