Telephoto lens'

So I own a DVX and I need a powerful zoom for some long distance shots. Are there any telephoto lens' out there that will mount to the DVX? If anyone knows, can you post some links as to what I might need? I'm also thinking that it might be better financially to rent the lens rather than buy it.

i have one of these for my DVX100a. very sharp, NO light loss. it is heavy and might i say *awkward* though and makes your camera balance very different than it is naturally. it doesnt zoom through its full range. its been a coulple of years since i have had it on but i want to say it will zoom back to low to mid 40's on 1-99 zoom range. i have had it for years but i dont think i have used it more than 6-8 times. i bought it originally to get more reach while shooting a series of live concerts (8,000-10,000 seat venues) having one of the cameras shooting from mix position. i only had 3 cameras with 3 operators for a series of concerts. becuase of that adaptor i feel i got a *lot of solid mileage* from that front of house position. becuase of legistics, i couldnt have done that gig without that adaptor.

its not cheap though $849.00. quite a lot to spend on a camera thats getting a bit old.

I use the adaptor for conferences! Works like a charm.

are there any other options as far as telephoto is concerned? i would like more power than 1.6x and i'm wondering if i were to switch to a camera with interchangeable lens' then can i find a HUGE canon lens to throw on?

The other option would be to get a 35mm adapter and buy a telephoto lens to go on it. The nice thing about the 35mm adapter is that it will fit easily on almost any camera you buy.
