I love the DVX but the limited zoom range is a bit of a problem. I do a lot of nature filming and am used to a much longer reach.
The Century teleconverter doesn't give me much because I think it's only 1.6. I am currently using the one I used to have on my Sony DSR-250, although only a 58mm thread, with a step ring I can use it at full telephoto. The advantage is that this is a 2x and gives me a little extra zoom.
I wonder why there are so few options for a 72mm thread lens? I'm sure it has to do with the size of the lens but I'm wondering if anyone knows of how to break this barrier and use a telephoto lens that gives a much greater magnification while maintaining sharpness.
Anyone?
