Technical Question regarding camera lenses

I have a technical question regarding camera lenses that's been on my mind for some time now and I hope someone can answer it. I know camera lenses and the lenses people wear in glasses are totally different things, but I work at LensCrafters and was wondering about AR (anti-reflective) coating lenses on cameras. For people, the AR coating provides a sharper image in low light levels and reduces night time glare. With a hydrophobic coating added on top of it, it makes it easier to clean preventing dust, water, and dirt from building up.

Now my question is, are there camera lenses out there that use this technology?

not sure if the treatment is the same, but I know that most camera lenses are treated with anti-reflective coatings that help cut down on lense flairs. Also, Schneider optics (B+W) sells their filters with a special coating, they just call it super multi coated. So the answer is yes, there are camera lenses out there utilizing coatings, but whether or not it's the same or similar to eye glass coatings I don't know.
