Tearjerkers...

I never cry, but every so often a movie just triggers something and then I've got tears running down my face and I feel like a big sap.

Recently I was watching "In America" with my wife and I got all mushy.

Two other movies that got to me were "Glory" and "Life is Beautiful".

I'm curious, does anyone else get effected like this?

Chris

There was one film where I watched about 40 "big ole guys" almost sob like babies. I was in college (gonna give away my age here!) and our girls dorm had the best TVs in the lobby. All the jocks came to our dorm to watch "Brian's Song" (the original with James Caan and Billy Dee Williams). Needless to say, we girls were impressed with the way the guys were able to show their emotions ... the guys were just embarrased - until they realized how they had impressed us girls!

The ONLY movie to ever make me cry was "Simon Birch". In fact, I cried on more than one occasion while watching it. Just thinking about it makes me sad...

*stomach turning*...*throat swelling*...*eyes watering*

WAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awakenings. Possibly the saddest movie ever.

Also, after having children movies like Field of Dreams and even Finding Nemo just kill me. Anything that's dramatic between parents and children. "Dad? Wanna have a catch?" I'm getting weepy.

I never cried watching a movie but the closet thing that almost got me was the last episode of Extreme Homemaker. I know its not a movie but the reality shows sometimes effects me alot more than movies.

What made me cry about THAT movie was the complete travesty it made of "A Prayer for Owen Meany," one of my two favorite novels of all time.

ok, you guys will think im wack...but i cried at the end of AI.

road to perdition and american beauty

War movies. War movies choke me up. (not the horror of war thing, but rather the camaraderie thing).

Oh and Rudy. I get choked up every time I watch that.

Annie Hall.
English Patient.
Midnight Cowboy.
When I was a kid Bambi and Dumbo got to me.

It's a pretty amazing thing when a film gets to you. Nothing else really comes close to a good film, at least at this point in my life.

The Bear and Two Brothers both did it for me... what can I say, I love animals :undecided

Oh well, Forrest Gump and Cool Hand Luke too... gah I'm getting sentimental lately, sometimes I feel a right music tune with appropriate image is enough for the movie to bring me to tears and sometimes soundtrack alone can get me started :embarasse Never cried watching Disney cartoons (or anything for that matter) as a kid, but I'm afraid I could now

I almost cry at the end of Shawshank Redemption EVERY TIME. It's just so damn beautiful.

When I was younger I cried like hell at the end of My Girl.

Call me a big sap but I get misty eyed whenever I see the following:

Finding Nemo
The Elephant Man
It's a Wonderful Life
Ben Hur
Moulin Rouge
Lion King
The Iron Giant
Any Satyajit Ray film
