Team Tilta and Tilta... something strange.

Hi guys,

about ten days ago I found this brand named Tilta, excellent rigs, I sent them an email about a week ago to ask information and then other emails, never a reply, then I found a dealer in US, TeamTilta, you need to email them to have an invitation to the website with user id and password to enter the shop, after that I asked them info too via emails, no reply, and few days ago their facebook page disappeared, and the website also disappeared... mmm...

Am I missing something about these guys ? anyone knows them ??

Anyone who makes you work that hard to buy their products doesn't want your money. I won't buy products from websites that insist you register before giving you the pricelist, let alone jump through the hoops you describe.
 
even if, there is no website anymore ahaha.. oh well...

the only rigs I like are zacuto but hey they cost big dolla !
 
I found the US Team Tilta always a bit fishy, so I ordered my stuff from Tilta direct.
But since you are in Italy. it might be cheaper to buy the Tilta gear in the UK anyway and skip a lot of shipping and tax.

I have a ton of Tilta stuff and I love it.
It's in the same league as Element Technica and other RED gear IMHO

By the way, I really liked Terremoto Emilia, good job.

I had no problem buying through the team tilta website. Everything arrived promptly and was of great quality. It seems it was intended to be as a referrer based viral marketing scheme, at least that's what I gathered from the articles I read online about them.
 
i ordered couple items from team Tilta in the US before and they are legit. I got invited by one member here. They had few special sales and the price was great.
 
No not at all. Team Tilta was a distributor for Tilta products in the US. Tilta has a very limited presence in the US. I was surprised that they didn't have a booth last lear at NAB but they do this year. They make a lot of different products that never made it to the Team Tilta store.

I was trying to track Tilta Team down and as i have discovered that Ikan has landed an exclusive distribution agreement with Tilta team. For all Tilta products you must go to the Ikan website
to see them.

I don't think TeamTilta is legit, maybe setup by a third-party

I have the TIlta BMPCC cage/rig and found it amazing (quick review here). So no problem recommending them in a heartbeat
