TCM rocks

Wow, Tuner Classic Movies rocks. Tonight they are doing a Bogart block. I just watched "Treasure of the Sierra Madre" followed by "The Maltese Falcon", now they are showing "Casablanca" and at 2:00 (EDT) they are showing "High Sierra". Is that a cool night at the movies or what?

If I had a suggestion for filmmakers, I would suggest that they get digital cable or satellite TV with Turner Classic Movies and get to studying!

Bogart rules. Howard Hawk's To Have and Have Not is my favorite. Very young Bacall, "You know how to whistle don't you... just put your lips together and blow." And John Huston directing his father in Treasure of the Sierra Madre, classic. Did you notice Robert Blake selling Bogey the winning lottery ticket?

I love Sierra Madre, in fact I have a copy of the poster sitting on my desk that I just got off e-Bay. What's the Bogey film where he gets out of prison and you don't see his face for the first half of the movie until he has plastic surgery to "change his face"? I liked that one too.

The movie is Dark Passage and I love it.

I am recording High Sierra right now, WOW!. It is the first time I have seen it and it is a score... Like I said, TCM rocks.

I have looked at their schedule for the rest of the month and it is pretty good.

I have a Sierra Madre poster on my desk... I'm going to Disneyland twice in one month... I'm headin' on down to the Cali State Fair...

"Die Larry R. Rutledge. Bastard... random son of a *****... typical run of the mill bastard!"

Just kidding, of course. :) That line is taken (and modified) from The Jerk.

And, yes, I agree....TCM Rocks. I LOVE the classic films and enjoy tuning in to the fare available on TCM on a regular basis.
