What ever the reasons, it's gonna be cool to have you here. NC might eventually have the most active DVX / HVX *club* in the US!! :)

Well you couldn't have picked a better place to move then. Wilmington is home to many BIG studios. Even though Dawson's Creek is long gone, their film market is still pretty BIG and thriving!! And towards the moutains of NC....there are more studios. Come to think of, there are studios in all three regions (Mountains, Piedmont, Coast)!! Not a bad place in the state as far as filmmaking goes really....!!

We've got it made I think.... :)

Hey, makes me wanna move there too. I have a friend who moved from Toronto to Charlotte, who knows, maybe I'll follow him.

I spent a summer in NC (Cary, Raleigh) while contracting for a local software company. I did quite a bit of travel in both directions, and can tell you, except for the summer heat, that state was like paradise. The Blue Ridge Mountains is simply something else. Loved the Outer Banks, too. I am sure you will love it, John.

(Watch it, you'll be closer to me, too, one day I could pay you a visit! )

I will be in Myrtle Beach playing golf this weekend.
Jim, who is your employer? You don't fund playing golf in Myrtle Beach on your family income, do you?

Or is there something else you keep from us? :lipsrseal

The Outer Banks; yeah......

I have illusions of sailing aorund the world one day. Well; okay at least up the Inbetween or down to Miami.

Hold on a minute... Kai is thinking of Wilmington as well? Okay, that's it... if Hudson and kai and Jimerson are going... and so many of you are already there... I'm going...

Oh there is sooo much I keep from you :)

Been saving and planning for this. It's a long weekend with my Dad and my brothers to celebrate the old codgers 65th. My brother got us a great deal on the package. It was 778 bucks for each of us, (air fare, 3 nights in a hotel and 3 rounds of golf) including pitching in for my Dad. It's still more than I'd like to spend but what can ya do.

Come on down!!

The only thing you'll have to watch out for is those *blasted* Hurricanes. We usually get whopped every few years by one, but were quick to recover unlike most of the states below us.

Didn't mean to scare ya'!!

No worries on the weather; I'm a nautical kind of guy anyway; sides we just had a 4 pointer the other night; nothing like no warning whatsoever at 4:00 am

I hear that man!! It's like...live on the west coast and you've got earthquakes.....live on the east coast and you've got hurricanes.....live in the middle of the U.S. and you've tornados.....

....Take your pick!!

Come to Canada, we've got TAXES! EVERY FRIGGIN' DAY OF THE YEAR!

(I just really, really wanted to get back to that darn subject) :engel017:

And on top of that, we have snow about ten months a year. Well - that's an exaggeration. Only nine and half.

Colorado baby. No hurricanes, no tornadoes (okay, few on the eastern plains, but not in the mountains), no earthquakes, and 300 days of sunshine a year.

We have no sales tax in Montana. That has to count for something right? :D
That, and no speed limit.

Too bad you also have no jobs, I'd live there already.

First time I heard of Montana was in the 'Hunt for the Red October', when the Russian defector captain says he wants to live there and own a pickup truck. Ironically, I saw the movie for the first time on the day my family was flying across the Atlantic Ocean to Canada to make it our new homeland... How fitting. Commie-refugees watching a film about Soviet nuclear submarine captain defecting to America! Love that film. Anyone knows if a wide-screen DVD is available? I only have a VHS tape.

What? No natural disasters in Aspen? Okay - how about avalanches? Blizzards?

Oh wait, I know: Free-roaming cougars and grizzlies! Come on Jim, there must be SOMETHING you can use to scare people off!

Don't forget to mention that the beer flows *like wine* from those Rocky Mountains!!
