Tascam recorder - file error

Folks,
I have a Tascam Dr-2D that I used to record an interview. Before we packed up, we played back the audio clip to make sure we got it (it was OK). When we got back to the office to download the file, we were no longer able to play or transfer the file. We kept getting a file error message. On the mac, we got an error -36, while on the Tascam we were unable to play the file.

Anyone have an idea how we can rescue this? The file info shows that the file still has 125mb, so its possible that maybe its just the file header or something that got corrupted and not the file itself.

Any ideas on things we can try to fix it are welcome.

I'm sorry if I have to reply to my own post, but I'm hoping that someone somewhere has even a vague idea on what we can try to recover the sound clip. Please help us!

Have you tried on a different computer maybe a pc? How are you accessing the file via USB or taking out the actual card? I suggest to try to access it from the card on a different computer. Also how is the file named? Sometime weird file naming can cause a file to not properly work.
