TASCAM HD-P2 would work with the Dcode TS-3

Hi,

I have been reading about the TASCAM HD-P2

and I am not sure if it will work with my Dcode TS-3, the decode has the analog audio input

Jramos,

It will work just fine. You will need to get a 1/4" to XLRM cable so you can jam the HD-P2 from the TS-3. I use a TS-2SB as my tc source with my HD-P2 without problem.

It is not advisable to use your slate as the master timeclock. What would happen if the batteries died or the 2nd AC turned off the slate? Anything could happen to the slate malfunctioning.

Not to mention the Denecke would start at 58:30 or whatever it is. If the editor wants TOD timecode, that can't happen.

The Tascam is good backup.
