Tascam Dr-40 vs Zoom h5? Should I sell my Tascam for a Zoom?

I have a Tascam Dr 40. Awesome device, and sounds great. But I've been looking at the Zoom h5 lately and don't know if I should sell my Tascam for it. What do you guys think? The battery life on it is good with phantom power, but I get two battery blocks instead of 3. Not only that, but people have been talking about the helicopter noise ( which I haven't ran into ). Is the Zoom h5 any better?

IMO, Tascam makes a better products. However you should consider the features and which one suits your particular work better. They are quite different feature-wise.
Overall sound quality won't be day and night different (the input source being equal), and neither has pro quality preamps, limiters, converters, ect. You gets what you pays for.

It's for my rig and video/audio work. I use the Rode NTG 1, which feeds off phantom power. I was also considering the Tascam dr44wl, but you are right.
