THAT looks very cool! I've got a Blue Mikey 2.0 that I'm pretty happy with for ambient/live iPod recording, but obviously this takes it to another level. I wonder what the retail price looks like?

After looking at the pictures, I don't see a USB port for connection to the bottom of device Apple connection, only a 1/8: stereo pigtail. Can the iPhone accept audio-in from the headphone plug? Am I missing something?

Yes it can. It's how the iPhone headphones with a mic feed in.
