Hey there everyone. I am having an issue with my deck.
Using: PPC G5 quad, FCP 5.1.4, AJA Kona LHe, Panasonic AJ-D950.
I have tried both SDI and Component and I am getting this error after about 10-20 seconds during the capture.
"Tape Trouble. Check VTR. Do not attempt to eject tape or use transport without checking VTR first."
I can playback and scrub just fine but when I go to capture it kicks out and gives me this error. After I dismiss this error everthing works fine and I can playback just fine. I tried capturing from a betacam deck via component and that worked great.
The downside is that the person that worked here before me had fixed it but we had to get the logic board replaced and loaded a new OS. I believe all he did to fix it was put a Text file somewhere on the hard drive and appearantly that fixed it. trouble is I don't know where he got that file. (and were not best buds so I can't exactly call him, I replaced him, if you know what I mean).
