TAMA makes a move into movies

Finding ourselves with a statling lack of light stand (and lights for that matter) our crew discovered that 3/4 of us were drummers outside of our film work. So, we gathered all of our cybal stand that werent currently in use and used them to support or top of the line "Menards" lighting rigs. Worked terrific. Anyone else do something like this?

I just bought a 10-pack of microphone boom stands from Musician's Friend for $99. Maybe not sturdy enough for bigass lights, but I got 'em to hold scrims and reflectors and such. They'd hold a small light, a baby spot or something.

And maybe I'll use one for an actual microphone from time to time.
