Tae Guk Gi

[TC]

I don't believe that anybody has talked about this film yet, but if your a war film junkie (Hudson) CHECK IT OUT.

It is absolutely amazing; it's all about the Korean war, as told from the perspective of two young brothers in South Korea. It's one of the best depictions of war I have ever seen. It's really interesting to see how people react so differently to war-situations.

Check it, yo: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/taegukgi/

PS: It is a Korean film, so be ready for subtitles.

EDIT: Also, don't start to watch it while your waiting at the airport for your flight. I did it and the lady that was sitting next to me seemed appauled at the violence and moved seats.

Agreed, this is a great war movie. The director is the one who sort of started the whole Korean cinema resurgence in the late nineties with a film called Swiri. If you're interested in Korean cinema, then definitely check it out:

It stars Cho Min-sik from Oldboy, Song Kang-ho from Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, and Kim Yun-jin from Lost. Booya.

I'll look for this TC

How were you watching it in line?

It's a pretty sweet flick. Some of the best war gore/violence I've ever witnessed.

Good story that hits on all levels.

I just watched "Shiri" a couple nights ago because I heard of it through this film. Quite good also with some very good gun battles and explosions.

On both Shiri and Brothers there are pretty good making of videos too.
