T2i footage

I'm transcode my footage with MPEG streamclip and put it into vegas and it still runs slow, is jittery, like it's dropping frames as i'm playing it back

is there a solution to this or other options

Hey clouserfilms,

What codec are you transcoding to? Avid DXNhd quicktime .movs? Avid DXNhd is a really good codec but some machines still can't keep up with realtime playback.

Do you have your Vegas playback settings at Preview Full or Preview Half? That will help.

Another alternative you could try would be DVFilm Epic I. It allows you to start editing immediately without transcoding and creates RealTime Epic files at Full, Half or Quarter size so you can have realtime playback on practically any computer.
