Would buying a second t2I or 60d be a good idea for weddings? I'm a little iffy about it because of the whole overheating and only 12min of recording time.

Or would it be better to buy maybe a hd camcorder as a stationary cam? Is there any out there that are similar in video quality? I have an hv20, but would that work?

Has anyone had any experience with the JVC GY-HM100U shooting weddings? Would this be ideal for a primary camera? It seems to be a good size.

I will preface this with the following; I do not shoot on DSLR's, so I am not the end all be all opinion of this matter but...

Remember that with weddings you are capturing people's most prized moments, a mistake here will not only be bad for that couple whose wedding you are shooting, but anyone else they speak about when asked "who shot your wedding?"

Personally, I would air on the side of caution and go with something (anything) that you know will not fail within a reasonable certainty (nothing is absolute)...

I shot weddings for over a year so while , again, I am not the end all be all, I do have some experience in this arena and this was one of the things I saw and learned;

Do well for your clients here and the referral business will pay off in large dividends... food for thought...
