so far, the camera is bought, i rec'vd a lowerpro camerabag for xmas as well as a spider brace ...what should my next purchases be?

im still in the midst of reading barry green's book, loving it, very straightforward...

ive been reading a lot of about the lens adapter...should i put that on my next-to-get list?

depends on what look you are looking for with your camera, if you want the shallowst depth of field possible, then an adapter could work for you.
On the other hand, if you invest in a lighting set, you might also get the filmic images you want... Do you have a good tripod? Mic's? There's a lot of stuff available, so be a bit more precise in what you want and allready have...

I should have been more precise. Sorry, i read these posts and get so hyped up on what to buy.

Im going to buy the tripod next. I live in Toronto and im not quite sure what stores will have the manfrotto...351, i think it is. I mite have to buy that online.

i was planning to rent the lights & mics for now...but for editing, if i plan to go the FCP route and get a mac, what is recommended?
a couple of ppl are advising not to get a laptop...

Can't help you with that one, sorry, I'm one of those cool PC guys :)
Good idea to first rent your lights and mics. However, its pretty expensive to rent this stuff, so if you do it a lot, buying might be your best option. As for buying a mic, look in the audio forum. There's a great sticky there...

Okay so far...i have the camera, the camerabag, a protective UV filter for the lens, a tripod (manfrotto 525mvb w/the 503 head)... what should be next on my list?

should i potentially be looking at getting the 35mm lens adapter now?

i would like to get a mac for editing...is the macbook pro suitable?

lights and audio equipment i plan to rent...but for a interview...i was planning to rent a couple of lavs...should that be ok?

I travel quite a bit and I can edit on the road using FCP on my 15" powerbook G4. I'd love to upgrade and get a ProMac tower, but I'm still working to pay off the rest of my gear.

In most of the interviews I've shot, I've used my Sennheiser EK 100 G2 setup.

iwas just told last night that Apple was releasign some new computers by the end of the month (?) so prices should be dropping for the macbook pro...i dont know how true this is...so ill hold off until feb for that.

but the lens adapter? should i get that next?

I would honestly say that the priority is audio. Shotgun if you do run'n'gun, wireless lavolier UHF system if you do interviews.
