hello all,
I just got back from a shoot where we did a "roundtable" type discussion. It's 8 guys sitting around talking. We had 4 cameras situated around the table, and then another 3 cameras that were "roving" to be able to get different angles of people talking/listening/reacting/etc... Each of those cameras has an on camera ambient audio track to use for syncing up all the files. On top of that, each of the participants in the discussion was wearing a wireless lav. Each lav fed a channel of pro tools, which means that I now have 8 more channels of audio. lastly, we had a zoom set up in the middle of the table getting the entire discussion as a "safety" in case everything went to crap with the wireless. So, that is a total of 7 cameras and 16 audio sources.
I'm trying to sync all this up in Plural Eyes, but I think I am doing something wrong. After I sync everything up and then bring it back to Premiere, it seems that all the audio tracks have been replaced with one of the 16 tracks. So the mic channel for person A has the exact same audio as that of person D. On top of that all myaudio track names have been replaced with tha track name of the first audio track in the session. Does that make sense?
I jsut want to get all these sources lined up so I can edit the session. I dont want any of the audio replaced, just lined up with eachother correctly. Any pointers? Thanks!
