Syncing in Logic Pro

Shot some stuff on my HPX 170, and recorded some reinforcement tracks through my audio interface directly into logic pro.. I now want to combine and mix them in logic, but every time I extract the audio from the video and export it as an AIFF, WAV, or nearly every codec possible, it either doesn't drop into logic or it is slower and lower-pitch than the stuff already in logic. Haven't found any way to get around it. Any thoughts? This is from a live concert, so it needs to be perfect...

Sounds like you have mixed sample rates. I have no idea of how Logic handles that but it's sounding like it's just playing them back at the slower rate.

If this is the case then you need to sample rate convert one or the other. If I had to guess I would guess that your a music person and you recoded at 44.1. Video sound is at 48, so you need to sample rate convert all the 44.1K material to 48K and put it in a 48K project.

I don't know Logic so that is just my guess.

IF your doing video work you NEED to work at 48. In theory you could work at 44.1 and then convert but you may run into the same problem and you can't really check sync till after you output and marry the sound back to picture.
It's stupid, I know, and it was all to keep people from cloning CD's on to DAT tapes (because that would be so cheap...) but that is the way it is. Video is 48.
