Syncing audio automatically in FCP?

Over on the Red boards, I almost have it figured out how to slave the Red camera to a Smart slate and then do the same to the audio recorder (alternately, have a TC out capable recorder, such as a SD 702T or 744T, and slave Red to that) but once I'm in post, with my audio and video files, how do I get a bin of audio and a bin of video to automagically sync themselves? Prompt replies are super appreciated, I'm meeting with a client tonight about my Red and he has never done a seperate sound system and is nervous about it.

Its AutoSync in Avid but I have not done in FCP so I can only relay what I was told but never tried (don't hold me to this): select the audio and video file and click "Merge Clips" which will bring up the option to do via TC. I believe you have to this for each individual take as opposed to Autosync which will sync everything in your bin with one click.

Again, I have never done it myself. Definately test it out before commiting to its possiblity to someone else.
