Synching HVX-200A with a Canon 7D (?)

I know most of the synching between cameras is done via firewire on the HVX-200, and so I probably already know the answer I'm looking for, but has anyone found a way to synch an HVX to a 7d via the miniUSB ports or possibly via that extension system terminal on the bottom of the 7D.

Sync in post with PluralEyes if you edit with any of the Major editing software packages. http://www.singularsoftware.com/pluraleyes.html. It is not possible to sych these cameras while shooting. Even some of the classic Free Run synching tricks will not work as the 7D does not have time code.

There is no way to sync them because the DSLR has nothing to sync to! DSLRs don't have any form of timecode.

I'm finally seeing your post now. I haven't used this, but I think if you had one for each camera it would work.

A good old fashioned clapper slate is still an industry standard. It always works.
