Sync Problems with CS4 and FCP

Ok so until recently when I was done recording audio on Location I would just hand off the audio and logs at the end of the day. So the video editor doing dailies would go do all the sync stuff and then if I was doing post they would give me omf. I would still have raw audio always as an option to bring in if I dont like the omf audio tracks, I do up to 16 tracks. Now I am working at a new studio and non of the video editors here have ever sync'd audio to video without just looking at the audio and video for ques, really they have never even done that. They were making me wait till they had the video edit done then have me sync, so I had to put a stop to that. I have got them to start using timecode since I have 702t and we use redcam. Now the problem is in final cut how can they just click a button and have the video and audio sync based on the 2 inbedded timecodes? Also same question for CS4 since we cant get out main editor to use final cut like the rest. If there is not a one click option what is the way you guys do it?

I did it by ear, and visual, but I'm not a FC P editor so? I seem to remember there is a match frame function. I can't remember exactly how it works (like I said I'm so rarely working in FCP) but I did use that function to replace loads of audio once. I think though that it's for bringing back in the audio linked to the video clip, which isn't exactly what your looking for. There are applications that work with ProTools like ASEMBLERATOR (I think that's the name - maggot software (they like strange names)), that will do the assembly. THis should work on the edited timeline if you can get an edl out of the folks.
