sync problem in FCP 5.1.1

okay... so I'm trying to do the simple of tasks, and its not working...

heres the deal...

i shot a music video, and im sitting here starting to edit it...

before shooting the video, we took the song and layed a click-track (metronome) over the song, at the same tempo.... that way it is easier to sync during editing...(ive done it before)

but here is the problem... So I am trying to sync the ORIGINAL track with the click track version so when I'm editing I can turn off the clicks basically. I can get it to sync, and it sounds all fine and dandy, but then as the song progresses the sync starts to fall apart... and the 2 audio files start to echo the other, as one starts to drag behind... how could that be? its the exact same file, just one with an extra ticking sound...

are they the same kind of file aiff or wav and are they the same bit rate.

If you have a ticking sound there is something wrong with the file. You need it to be an AIFF or DV file.

ah... i fixed it... I messed around with diffreint formats... .wav seemed to work good.
