switching tapes. mq's-reg.

Hello. i am thinking about switching from panasonic mq's back to regular panasonic tapes. Would this be ok for the heads, theyre both the same brand and basically the same tapes. Good idea?thanks.

I would stick with the MQ's. I have never had a drop out with them and have used some over 5 times. And the cost for the MQ's are really not that much more anyway:

It's still dry lube, if that's your concern. But....the higher quality tape is really worth the extra $$

I would stick with the MQ's

I concur. Reportedly, more metal oxide and edges are cut with a sharper razor, so less dropouts/errors (especially towards the end of the tape).
